I am honored to be a teaching artist for Just Buffalo Literary Center.  The photo you see to your left is not a recent teenager-hostage, but rather an eco-fiction workshop where I asked young writers to communicate the way trees do: through vibrations.

IN person and Remote WorkshopS through JBL

Using masks and creating new identities, I asked writers to think of writing from alternative points of view. By physically putting on the mask with the new identity, writers could explore a vantage point that, as french theorist Gerard Genette says, separates the narrator from the narrative event.
